Scheduled Phone Maintenance

Please note that on November 20th and November 21st, 2023 we will be conducting a scheduled phone system upgrade. 

Victim Service Notifications Program

Due to a transition in technology, some victim services notifications to include facility relocation and parole hearing notices may have been delayed. If you are enrolled in DOC's VSU Notification program and have any questions or concerns about this matter please contact VSU directly at (719)-269-4709 or DOC_VSU@state.co.us. If you are currently enrolled in our notification program, please consider providing a correct email address to receive the most timely updates.

Limon Correction Facility Vending Machines

Effective the weekend of November 3rd, 2023  the Limon Correctional Facility vending machines in visiting will no longer accept the reloadable vending cards. These machines will transition to utilizing credit/debit cards. Each visitor is permitted to bring in one (1) debit or credit card. These cards must belong to the visitor entering the facility.  

UPDATE HB 23-1133

In September 2023, all eligible incarcerated individuals received a one-time allocation of funds, which will be placed on their Securus phone account. Beginning in October 2023, Securus will reduce telephone calling rates by 25% for CDOC inmates and their friends and family to comply with HB23-1133. The CDOC will collaborate with Securus to ensure the intent of this legislation is achieved and maintained. Current Securus telephone rates are $0.019. Beginning in October 2023, telephone rates will be discounted by 25% to achieve a rate of $0.01425. 

Update in Communication Service-Rifle Correctional Facility

Attention inmate family and friends, CDOC anticipates that phone communications for the inmate population at the Rifle Correctional Facility will be extremely limited and may, at times, be completely down, due to installation difficulties related to our provider transition. We are working with the vendor to remedy this issue as quickly as possible. We will make every effort to afford inmates access to phone calls at every opportunity we can and staff phone lines will be available should you need to reach loved ones in the event of an emergency. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. 

Go-Live Dates for Securus Phone System

During the month of September 2023, the CDOC will be transitioning from the GTL/Viapath inmate phone system to the Securus phone system.  Go-Live dates are below.

Changes in Communication Services

CDOC is currently in the process of transitioning our phone systems from ViaPath (formerly known as GTL) to our new vendor, Securus. During this time, we may encounter some interruptions to the ability to access the phones and video visiting as we transition to our new communications system. We know how important communication with loved ones behind the walls is, and we will be working with both vendors to make the transition as smooth as possible. We appreciate your patience. We will continue to update you all as we navigate through the process.
