SMART Act Hearing

The State Measurement for Accountable, Responsive, and Transparent Government (SMART) Act was revised in 2013 to formalize a performance management system in Colorado. The act requires executive agencies to annually present specific information to joint legislative committees during the first two weeks of the legislative session through a hearing. SMART Act Hearings provide each State Department with the opportunity to present performance plans, regulatory and legislative agendas, and budget requests to the Joint Committees of Reference.

Phone Connectivity Resolution Information

Colorado Department of Corrections has been working with Securus to resolve connectivity issues including issues with parties not receiving calls and calls not ringing through. If you have been experiencing these issues, please review the troubleshooting guide and take the actions recommended for your service provider.

Scheduled Phone Maintenance

Please note that on November 20th and November 21st, 2023 we will be conducting a scheduled phone system upgrade. 

Victim Service Notifications Program

Due to a transition in technology, some victim services notifications to include facility relocation and parole hearing notices may have been delayed. If you are enrolled in DOC's VSU Notification program and have any questions or concerns about this matter please contact VSU directly at (719)-269-4709 or DOC_VSU@state.co.us. If you are currently enrolled in our notification program, please consider providing a correct email address to receive the most timely updates.

Limon Correction Facility Vending Machines

Effective the weekend of November 3rd, 2023  the Limon Correctional Facility vending machines in visiting will no longer accept the reloadable vending cards. These machines will transition to utilizing credit/debit cards. Each visitor is permitted to bring in one (1) debit or credit card. These cards must belong to the visitor entering the facility.
