The State Measurement for Accountable, Responsive, and Transparent Government (SMART) Act was revised in 2013 to formalize a performance management system in Colorado. The act requires executive agencies to annually present specific information to joint legislative committees during the first two weeks of the legislative session through a hearing. SMART Act Hearings provide each State Department with the opportunity to present performance plans, regulatory and legislative agendas, and budget requests to the Joint Committees of Reference.

The CDOC will be presenting today, January 10, 2024, at 1:45 pm. We encourage you to access the live hearing session here.
