Built-in 1998, the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility (DWCF) is one of two correctional facilities for women in CDOC. DWCF is the largest and houses female inmates at all custody levels. DWCF has several unique responsibilities and programs for inmates, including housing all pregnant inmates, inmates with high medical and mental health needs, an intake unit, an incentive unit, a Management Control Unit (MCU), a Therapeutic Community (TC), and a Residential Treatment Program (RTP) for inmates with severe mental health treatment needs. A Mom Baby Unit (MBU) to facilitate and maintain bonding between mom and baby. DWCF has a capacity of 760 beds.

DWCF offers Contact, Non-Contact, Special Visiting and Video Visiting.
In person visiting: Friday 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Saturday 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Sunday 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM -
Visitor processing hours: 8:15 AM - 10 AM and 11:30 AM - 1:15 PMVisitors may not gather in front of the gatehouse prior to the beginning of processing in the morning and afternoon. Inmates at DWCF may receive visits on Friday and Saturday or Friday and Sunday. Visiting cannot occur on both Saturday and Sunday.
Video Visiting: All visitors must be approved on the inmate’s visiting list. Video Visiting can be scheduled through Securus Technologies
Visits will be allowed from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. daily. (Kiosks are not available from 10:00 AM thru 11:30 AM, 3:30 PM. thru 4:45 PM, 9:15 PM thru 9:45 PM)
Visits must be scheduled by midnight day before the visit is to occur but no more than seven days in advance.
Visits are offered in 10 or 25 minute sessions. Inmates are limited to two visiting sessions per day.- Visiting Appointments
Appointments for visiting at DWCF are required and may be arranged by calling (303) 307- 2544 between the hours of 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday or by emailing doc_dwcf_visiting@state.co.us.
Appointments cannot be made more than seven days in advance. Emails received after the designated scheduling hours will be processed the next business day. Emails are for visiting appointments only and will be processed in the order they are received. A reply confirmation email will be sent once the visit has been approved or denied.
