Employee Handbook

The State of Colorado (SOC) Employee Handbook exists to assist employees of the state in understanding their rights and privileges as a state employee in relation to our place in state government. This handbook was written in accordance with federal and state laws, personnel board rules, personnel director’s rules, universal policy, and fiscal rules in effect at the time of publication. Subsequent revisions could lead to conflicting statements. If such a situation should arise, the laws, personnel rules and fiscal rules will always be the official current documents upon which a ruling will be based or an interpretation will be made. This employee handbook is a guide, not a contract.
