Due to a transition in technology, some victim services notifications including facility relocation and parole hearing notices, may have been delayed. If you are enrolled in DOC's VSU Notification program and have any questions or concerns about this matter please contact VSU directly at 719-269-4709 or DOC_VSU@state.co.us. If you are currently enrolled in our notification program, please consider providing a correct email address to receive the most timely updates.

Under CRS 24-4.1-101 et seq., the Victim Rights Act (VRA), victims of designated crimes have the right to be notified of certain changes in the status of the offender in their case such as initial DOC facility placement, transfers to other prison facilities, referrals to community corrections (half-way houses), parole application and revocation hearings, parole hearing outcomes, escapes, apprehensions, sentence discharge or death.

If you are the victim of the offender’s current incarceration, as outlined in the VRA, and are not currently receiving notifications, you can submit a Victim Notification Program Enrollment Application Online, or handwritten and mailed to the Department of Corrections/Victim Notification Program at the address provided on the enrollment form. Hardcopy forms are available from the Victim/Witness Unit at the District Attorney’s Office and the DOC Victim Services Unit.

Should your information need to be updated notify the DOC Victim Services Unit, by telephone at 719-226-4709 or 800-886-7688, Email doc_vsu@state.co.us or by filling out this online Update Victim Notification Information form.

If you are enrolled and you no longer would like to receive notifications, please contact our office to opt-out of enrollments.

*Enrollment in victim notification with the District Attorney’s Office or VINE does not automatically enroll you in the DOC Victim Notification Program.*

**You are not enrolled in the Victim Notification Program until you receive an Acknowledgement Letter.  It is your responsibility to notify the Department of Corrections in the event of an address, e-mail, or telephone change.**
