During the month of September 2023, the CDOC will be transitioning from the GTL/Viapath inmate phone system to the Securus phone system. Go-Live dates are below. On the night before the Go-Live date, inmate phones will be shut off for that facility until the installation of the Securus phone system is completed the following day.
On the Go-Live date, inmate phone lists and GTL phone account balances for that facility will be transferred to Securus, so the inmate population can start making phone calls immediately.
Inmates contacts may set up a Securus online account. Reminder, an inmate will not have a Securus phone account set up to place funds until their facility has transitioned to the Securus phone system.
As we transition to our new phone vendor, visitation sessions through GTL/ViaPath will not be scheduled to occur after Saturday, September 30, 2023. CDOC hopes to restore video visitation through our new vendor, Securus by mid-October. This first restoration of video visitation will be held in visiting rooms only, with video visitation in the living units being restored at a later date. We will provide updates to this date as soon as we have them. Thank you for your continued patience through this transition.
