Communicating with your community parole officer when your struggling gives you the opportunity to work with a specialized team who is interested in your success.
This team consists of dedicated Community Parole Officers, Community Re-Entry Specialists, Treatment Coordination Case Managers, and WAGEES staff who will assist you with overcoming any barriers to success you may be facing and provide support and service to help you become successful in the community.
Support and assistance can include; housing assistance, employment assistance, treatment referrals, benefits assistance, transportation, and more.
- Am I eligible to re-engage with parole?
We encourage everyone to participate and remain compliant with their parole conditions, but we understand you may face barriers and challenges. Re-engaging with your community parole officer can provide you with resources and services to help you navigate those difficult times.
- What is considered absconding and how does it impact me?
When a parole complaint is filed and a warrant is issued for absconding, your parole time stops running. This means the parole time you have before you abscond you will still have to do. Re-engaging with your parole officer, may give you an opportunity to work with various division staff to help address the struggles you are facing and finish your parole time successfully.
