Temporary Suspension of Outside Vendor Purchases

The Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) is temporarily suspending purchases from outside vendors by incarcerated individuals and their families. This decision follows a review with the Office of the Inspector General, which identified security concerns with the ordering systems.

Recently, contraband was discovered in packages received through these vendors, posing a risk to the safety and security of staff and the incarcerated population. An investigation is ongoing, and CDOC is working to ensure future purchases from outside vendors can be conducted securely.

This suspension does not affect canteen orders or Union Supply/CO Inmate Package care package orders, which will continue as usual. We will provide updates as the situation develops.

We are actively exploring safe ways to reinstate this process. Your understanding and patience during this time are greatly appreciated
