If you don't know where to start or have a question or concern you need assistance with, we encourage you to contact our Constituent Services Office. They can answer your question, address your concern, or ensure it is referred to the appropriate area to do so.
Our Constituent Services Office is the best place to direct general inquiries or questions or concerns related to your incarcerated loved one. If you need assistance and don't know where to go, please contact our Constituent Services team. They will be happy to answer your question, address your concern, or ensure it is referred to the appropriate subject matter expert.

The Constituent Services Office is open from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday and is closed on state holidays.
Record requests may be directed to the appropriate records division for handling:
Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) and Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act (CCJRA):
CORA and CCJRA requests may be submitted by email; instructions for submitting requests may be found on the CORA/CCJRA page.
Medical Records:
Information regarding requests for medical records may be found on the Medical Records Request page.
Inmate Records:
Inmate incarceration records including Pen Packs may be submitted by email; instructions for submitting requests may be found on the Inmate Records Request page.
Information on how to contact an inmate may be found on the Contact an Inmate Page. If you need to locate an inmate, you may do so through our Online Inmate Locator.
Please note: Colorado Department of Corrections is the state prison system. We do not have any involvement with operations of Colorado county jails, federal prisons, nor community corrections facilities. If an individual is serving a sentence in one of those jurisdictions, they will not appear in our online inmate locator. Individuals who have discharged their sentence and are no longer under supervision also will not appear in our online inmate locator.

CDOC permits and supports external research conducted by other state agencies, university students and professors, and other organizations interested in criminal justice issues.
