It is my honor to serve as the Director of the Division of Adult Parole and it is my pleasure to work with a dedicated team of professionals with the mission of protecting the citizens of Colorado. Our commitment is to provide excellent service to our customers. Collectively, our team assists individuals releasing into the community while obtaining the services and support needed to become a law abiding and productive member of our society.
Our recent efforts have been focused on reducing barriers to successful community re-entry through quality transition planning that starts prior to release. By implementing best practices in community supervision, we have reduced the number of clients that have returned to prison for technical violations. With the understanding that our communities suffer when individuals are incarcerated, it is our desire to provide the assistance, support, and accountability needed to help returning citizens acclimate to society once release.
Our future strategies will continue to focus on reducing recidivism. With the assistance of our community-based partners, support agencies, and Colorado stakeholders, we will remain diligent in providing efficient and effective services. We will continuously strive to remain a progressive organization that works for the betterment of our state and its citizens.
